Haiti Mission Trip: July 23 - July 31, 2016
Emory will once again be sending a team to Haiti to run a Vacation Bible School for children living in tent villages outside of Port-au-Prince. Haiti was devastated by a major earthquake on January 12, 2010 which leveled buildings and claimed over 300,000 lives. While the rest of the world has moved on, Haiti remains in disarray and continues to need our help.
While we are in Haiti we will be working with an organization called Partners in Development (PID). PID has worked in Haiti for over 20 years and focuses on helping people to break out of the cycle of poverty through small business loans, housing, medical care, and child sponsorship. You can find out more about PID at www.pidonline.org
As the team prepares to leave for Haiti they are raising financial support and collecting supplies for their VBS. You can help out by donating supplies, contributing financially, or attending one of their fundraising events. For more information, contact the Pastor at Emory.
