Services for Nancy McDorman Announced

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, Nancy Lee McDorman – Kane, age 74 of Bel Air. Mrs. McDorman served Harford County for nearly 25 years as both a special needs teacher and as part of the Harford County Child Find Program (previously teaching for several years in Baltimore). Not only was Nancy a devoted member of Emory United Methodist Church, but also taught Sunday school there for a time. She was the beloved wife of Palmer Kane and the late Elmer F. McDorman, Jr.; devoted mother of Sheryl L. McDorman and Kevin S. McDorman and wife Leah Ann; grandmother of Jamie Corun and Andrew Kuhnt, and caring sister of Wayne Schuckle and wife Dianne. Also survived by a large host of family and friends which includes: Robin Irvin, Brian Handshaw, William Schuckle, Kenneth Schuckle, and Megan Hill.

Family and friends will honor Nancy’s life at Emory United Methodist Church, 911 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD 21154 on Thursday, May 4, from 5-8, where a memorial service will be held on the following day, Friday, May 5, beginning at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at a Memorial Fund that was set up in Mrs. McDorman's name.
